MDI NEWS-
*Brisbane '99.
You all will have received a meeting report by now. We would like to thank HUGO and Cathy Pole for their support and generously allowing us the full use of a meeting room.
*Vancouver 2000-what is the preferred date?
The next Human Genome Meeting (HGM) will be held probably April 9-13, 2000. We have been told we cannot host a meeting on April 9th due to the HUGO Council Meeting. Which is the preferred date if we hold a meeting, April 8th or at the end of the meeting? Please send Rania your thoughts if any, on this as soon as possible.
*Mutation Entry form-last chance for comment.
The Draft Allele Variant entry form is still available for comment until May 14th. If you have not already sent your comments to Rania please do so. When all comments are collated, another form will be proposed and placed on the web for comment before a final recommendation is made. We need to get this moving now!

We have asked the Publishers if they could make this publicly available on the Wiley website, we will announce this if it comes about.
CORRESPONDENCE
Dr David Cox has made available a copy of the License agreement between Stanford University and Users/Licensees of his Radiation Hybrid database (RH database). He agrees that it can be used as a model for protection of Mutation Databases. Existence of specific agreements if drawn up could be noted on the title page of the database. David Cox can be contacted at: cox@camis.stanford.edu
We would appreciate any comments please. Copies of the Licence agreement will be FAXED on request to Rania. Other ideas on this topic are welcome.
